Second, our Mexican Premiere is at Morbido Film Fest, Mexico City, which runs from 2nd to 6th November. Connie screens as part of their THE DEVIL IS NOT HOW YOU IMAGINED, programme: Leave pre established ideas outside. Here nothing is what it seems. These are 8 short films that will teach you not to trust appearances! Screening day and time to be confirmed.

The full programme of international short films is very impressive and we’re proud to be included as part of such an esteemed list. Check it out here! There are also fine arts exhibitions, plays, thematic lectures, book presentations, concerts, and even a traditional Mexican wrestling match!

Connie is looking forward to her time in the sunshine of beautiful Mexico, and we had a lot of fun adding the subtitles to the film. Connie now knows a lot of Mexican swear words!

Then on Friday 18th November, she’ll have her second London outing as part of the eighth annual Crystal Palace International Film Festival. Following the success of KEEN-wah at the festival last year, this is sure to be a real treat. The festival has a great vibe, with themed nights and is one of the coolest I’ve been to in years. It runs from 29th October – 19th November at several venues in South East London.

You can buy tickets for our screening on 18th November here.

Stay tuned – there are more to be announced… we just can’t reveal them yet!

Fantastic SciFiNow Review & Interview!

There’s more love for Connie! The kind folk at SciFiNow have written a very complimentary article about the short film, with a lovely opening review followed by an interview with writer/director, Cat Davies. If you want to read more about the challenges of making short films, this is a must-read! It’s a very insightful piece detailing the production of this film, the writing process, fondness for the Duplass brothers and the tough choice of Hugo or Chucky.

“Funny, creepy, clever and surprisingly affecting, Connie is a wonderful tribute to creepy doll classics while managing to be something all of its own” – SciFiNow

Big thank you to Jonathan Hatfull and SciFiNow. We’re pleased to make films that you like! Long may this continue.
